Artwork Description -
This creation came from my journey into the arts of shibari, also known by its traditional name as Kinbaku , an ancient Japanese art form of rope play meaning "to tie". These days this art is celebrated and practiced in many different forms worldwide. It is one that has changed my life and connection with a very special man. This painting came to be created through a very special bond and connection that deserved the honour and acknowledgement for what it is to me and us. There is truly no connection like this that I have experienced before.

A connection of deep resonance and respect show that two can become one through the intertwined length of a beautiful length of rope, symbolic to binding the body into beautiful shapes. a dance between two where the connection point keeps them joined through a physical rope and yet through intention and energetic shifts this art form can create a space for deeper interconnection and trust, surrender and vulnerability where full embodiment of the senses is explored. A space of true release and sensations are birthed within this space as one guides, and one let's go through energetic exchanges between both partners. This is reciprocated within the acknowledgement that the power play between the two is fundamentally deeply sacred and precious.
