The butterfly metaphor is often associated with a complete and dramatic change in one's life and "Allura" visited me when I was right in the middle of one of my biggest transformations. She came to remind me of the necessary significance to lean into and allow the uncomfortable self-growth that comes with hard emotional growth. And that there is beauty even in letting go of the old and accepting the unknown while embracing the new stages of metamorphosis. She is the incarnation of all that we must traverse to reach our next evolution no matter how scary that may be... and to truly do that we must drop our masks and look deep inside ourselves to meet all the parts that hurt, that are we find inadequate and that want to heal and change.
